We dressed up as candy land pieces...

We made checkerboard pizza!

Caitlin made an amazing candy land cake!!!!

We had a sweet game table and played cranium! The girls won! (what's new?) :)

Family Theme Night #1- Fancy Feast

So, we had our first Family Theme Night (at the beginning of the year...)
It was Fancy Feast (a formal dinner for freshm
en) and we had so much fun!! I made some yummy food, lit candles, and played some nice music, provided by Jessie!

We took a picture on our porch. Hooray!!

Here's a post for G and G!!

So, I got a lovely email informing me that I do not update my blog. It hurt, but it only hurt because I know 'tis true.

Grandpa, here is another post!! :) Hooray!!

I am loving being here at school. My frisbee team is so amazing- we have 20 people on our team! We are the Ninja Turtles and we are in power league- which is the harder of the two leagues! We have games about once a week and they are so fun. I LOVE playing and my teammates are really good and I love to cheer them on when I am not playing (because we have a lot of subs!) Here is a picture at my house after a game. I invited everyone over for pizza (get it?) and most of my team was there!!

I love my house!

I love Ivanhome... It is SO wonderful. God has given me so much...!

It has been a while...

So I have not written in a while! I went home for spring break and it was great- making banana walnut bread, trail mix, chocolate chip walnut cookies, poppyseed muffins... it was wonderful! I enjoyed time with family and being in warmer weather!
Being back at school is great- I have loved seeing everyone again and hearing about breaks! It has snowed a few times, which is weird because it is April! I have hosted a bunch and have driven a lot of shuttles to the airport! I actually love both of my jobs- I get paid for hanging out with people!
Okay, that is all for now. I am going to work on a GE 330 assignment! :)
Bye!

What the HAIL?

Haha- my title was what I said when it started hailing today!!! This morning it rained, then it snowed, then it hailed, and Spokane weather cannot make up its mind! :)

I love love love the 1st grade class I am working with. Those kids are little lovebugs and today Patrick drew me a couple of pictures and he addressed them to "Miss Hour"! How cute!!! I am going to Quiznos for dinner tonight (I have not eaten there in a few years!) and then I have a hall activity where we are going to a theme house and we are playing games- yipee!

Okay, that is all for now!

Ta-Da!

Hello! :)

Today is a sunny but cold day in Spokane! I have not been good about keeping up with my blog. Ooops! Well, I have been great!!! I went night skiing at Mount Spokane on Friday the 29th. Hooray for Leap Day and our day off of school. It was absolutely amazing.... the sky and mountains were gorgeous and I skied quite a few black diamonds- my first time ever! I also did blue squares and a little green too. When it got dark, it was an incredible experience to ski under the lights! Thank you Jesus that it was so wonderful!!! I skied for about 5 hours (from 4pm to 930pm with a little break in there.)

I am doing well in most all of my classes, although it is tough to complete some of the readings sometimes! RAing is fantastic- I love it... and it keeps me busy! :)

Okay.

Bye! :)

Prayer

Hello,
I am sitting at my desk, safe and warm, and thousands are in hard and dangerous situations halfway around the world. I am sad for my friends in Kenya, sad they have to go through such hard times... and they are unable to do anything about it.

Please pray for my friends, pray for the nation of Kenya. God is King and he is so good, even when it seems as if there is no hope. Pray for the peace of God to rule in the protesters hearts, as well as forgiveness for all.

Back at school

So, I am back at school! I got in on Saturday evening (really late) after lots of plane delays... It snowed Saturday night and now there are at least 5 inches on the ground- it snowed lots today too!

My Spanish class is great, although there are some in the class who are not very experienced with verbal communication in the language... my ice skating class will be a blast, and my elementary music and movement class will be fun and lots of learning!

Well, off to watch Alias! :)
